The Oddly Satisfying Render Challenge invites artists and creators to design mesmerizing, aesthetically pleasing, and oddly satisfying renders using Cinema 4D, Redshift, and other Maxon One tools. This global challenge is inspired by Corridor Crew’s own Oddly Satisfying renders series. The public challenge is hosted by Senior Motion Designer Andy Needham, who will oversee submissions and gather a panel of influential industry leaders to select winners. Who can participate in the Oddly Satisfying Render Challenge?

To participate in the challenge, you must be of legal age. Where do I submit my entry?

All entries must be uploaded via the online submission portal hosted by Senior Motion Designer Andy Needham at oddlysatisfyingchallenge.com.

When is the submission deadline?

Submissions close on 11:59:59 PM PST on May 25, 2026. Winners will be announced on June 8, 2026.

Why do I need to use Maxon One tools?

The challenge is designed to showcase creativity using Maxon One. Cinema 4D and Redshift are mandatory so entries can be judged with consistent tool usage. ZBrush and Red Giant are optional but encouraged for additional detail and effects.

How will submissions be judged?

Entries will be judged on creativity, technical execution, adherence to the theme, and overall visual appeal. Andy Needham and a panel of volunteer judges will review all valid submissions and select winners.

Can I submit more than one entry?

No, only one entry per user.

Do I keep ownership of my work?

Yes, you retain the ownership and all moral rights in the final work, but to participate in the challenge you agree to grant Maxon and its affiliates, successors or assignees an irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, transferable right and license (with rights to sublicense through multiple tiers of sublicensees) to use the final work, including, without limitation, the right to use, publish, copy, modify, transmit, license, exhibit, broadcast, edit, disseminate, distribute, display, perform and make publicly available. Maxon may use the final work for social media, marketing and promotion purposes in particular, but shall not commercialize or sell the final work for profit.

Can third-party plug-ins be used?

Yes, third-party plug-ins are allowed to be used for the Oddly Satisfying Render Challenge. While third-party plug-ins are allowed, third-party render engines are not allowed. Submissions must be rendered with Redshift.

Is the contest open to existing Maxon One or Cinema 4D/Redshift subscribers?

Yes! If you currently have a Maxon One subscription or Cinema 4D/Redshift subscription, we encourage you to enter.
