What is the Maxon App?

The Maxon App manages the installation, licensing, upgrading, and updating of your Maxon products. It verifies the license status for your purchased products and displays any trials you may have available. The Maxon App is fully compatible with MyMaxon Organizational Accounts, so users can tap into Teams Licenses and choose which license type to activate. Watch the walkthrough video.

How can I use my license on another computer?

We’ve added the ability within the Maxon App to quickly switch license activations when working from a different computer, making your workflow more flexible and efficient than ever.

Which products are compatible with the Maxon App?

The Maxon App currently supports the installation and management of Cinema 4D, Redshift, Red Giant Complete, Universe, ZBrush, Trapcode Suite, Magic Bullet Suite, VFX Suite and PluralEyes. Forger and Moves by Maxon continue to be available from the iOS App Store.

Will free trials work on macOS and Windows?

Yes, all our products work on both macOS and Windows.

What are the hardware, software and system requirements?

How do I activate a product once installed?

When opening the app, you’ll be asked to login with your Maxon ID.

I am a Red Giant customer, why do I need a MyMaxon account?

All Maxon software is distributed via the Maxon App or Maxon website. Please note: You need to log in to your MyMaxon account to access our software via website or app.

What if I don’t have a MyMaxon account?

If you are a Red Giant customer that purchased products prior to January 1, 2021 0r if you are a Maxon customer who purchased products prior to September 1, 2019, you’ll need to setup a MyMaxon account (my.maxon.net) before you can download the Maxon App and install any products.

Why do I need to reinstall my products?

The Maxon App is built on new licensing technology. Products purchased prior to January 1, 2021 will need to be reinstalled in order for them to be licensed properly.

Why should I update The Maxon App?

Updating to the latest version of Maxon App ensures the best possible experience with your products as updates contain new features, performance enhancements, and bug fixes.
