Working with You on Working from Home

While I’m sure your inboxes are flooded like mine with information about how each company is dealing with the crisis, I want to share some of the steps we are taking to help everyone stay productive.

The health and safety of our customers, partners and employees is our top priority. We’re fortunate that most of our jobs and many of yours can be done anywhere with a computer, and a lot of us are used to working from home. I’d like to encourage everyone during this time to stay home, and if possible, stay connected to our virtual community around the globe.

Thankfully, the teams at Maxon, Red Giant and Redshift are healthy and focused. While our physical offices are closed, our employees are working remotely and are dedicated to mitigating disruptions during this stressful time. We recognize the critical role our products play in many production pipelines. We remain committed to serving your needs and keeping you and your team operational.

I’m so pleased we were able to introduce our new entitlement system for Cinema 4D R21 so users can conveniently move licenses between devices. For our volume license customers using the Maxon License Server, there are options for artists to work remotely. However, I’m also proud to announce that we are working as quickly as possible to deliver organizational accounts that will make it easy for larger organizations to assign C4D licenses so your team can more easily work anywhere. This is currently in testing this week and should be available within a month. For our volume customers utilizing Reprise License Server, we’re ready to make sure they can stay productive remotely as well. Additionally, we are working hard to provide more flexible and short-term affordable licensing options for Red Giant Complete in the very near future.

As always if you need assistance, please take advantage of our support channels:

Redshift: www.redshift3d.com/support/

We have always supported students and instructors with free Cinema 4D licenses and are rapidly working to extend this program to include Red Giant Complete soon. With so many of you and certainly most students now working at home, we recognize training material and resources are more important than ever. That’s why we’re making Cineversity.com free for anyone with a MyMaxon account for 30 days (go to https://my.maxon.net to activate your Cineversity access). Red Giant also continues to offer free and new content including great content such as our short films by Seth Worley and tutorials from the popular series Cheap Tricks by Action Movie Dad.

Like many of you, we were all disappointed with the cancellation of NAB 2020. As you probably know, we have always brought the show to users around the world by live streaming our presentations via C4DLive.com. Well, I’ve got some good news for you – Maxon’s NAB presentations are going forward as planned. Beginning Monday, April 20th, Maxon will be hosting a virtual NAB on C4DLive.com featuring the incredible line-up of artists we had already scheduled to present. We will be posting an artist lineup and presentation schedule next week, and I will personally kick off the show at 8:30am (PST) with the latest news and some exciting announcements.

Lastly, the biomedical research team Folding@Home is using crowd-sourcing energy to simulate the dynamics of #COVID19 proteins to hunt for new therapeutic solutions. Anyone with an idle computer can help them in their efforts. We’ve encouraged all our employees to participate. If you also would like to contribute computing power to assist to their #CoronaVirus research, head on over to their website.

We recognize that the current events impact us all. The most important thing we can do is to support each other. So please be kind and take good care of yourselves and your loved ones.
