ZBrushCore EoL FAQ
As of May 30th, 2025, ZBrush Core and ZBrush Core Mini will be entering into Limited Maintenance Mode. From this date ZBrush Core will not be available for purchase and ZBrush Core Mini will not be available for download. Existing users may continue to use the software; however, no new enhancements will be released.
What is the date for the End of Life of ZBrushCore?
September 30th, 2025. As of September 30th, 2025, ZBrushCore Monthly license renewals will become unavailable.
Can I still renew my subscription?
As mentioned above, Monthly license renewals for ZBrushCore will stop on September 30th, 2025. Until that date, monthly renewals will still be available.
Is there new Free version coming?
Yes! As part of Maxon’s continued efforts to align the Desktop and iPad versions, a new Freemium version of ZBrush Desktop is on its way.

Can I open the files once ZBrushCore and ZBrushCoreMini has reached End of Life?
Once ZBrushCore and ZBrushCoreMini have reached their End of Life date, any ZTool (ZTL), ZProject (ZPR) or any other related ZBrushCore or ZBrushCoreMini files can be loaded into the current Full Version of ZBrush.
Does this impact existing Perpetual License users?
Yes. There will no longer be any updates, bug fixes or changes to ZBrushCore and ZBrushCoreMini. As per the Scope of Support above, this would only be for re-downloading of Software in accordance with the ZBrushCore Perpetual License agreement. ZBrushCoreMini will no longer be available for download. To access ZBrushCore downloads, please contact Support.
Will ZBrushCore still be available in the Maxon App?
No. It will be removed in the next Maxon App update.
