From the Viewport to the Gallery Beeple is a star in the Cinema 4D community. His work is now being featured as an individual exhibit named 'Crap: a Beeple Retrospective' in New York.
With his works, which he titled ‘Everydays’, Mike Winkelmann, a.k.a. Beeple, made a big splash in the Cinema 4D community. The concept behind it: for more than ten years, Beeple has created one complete work of art per day in order to improve his skills and evolve as an artist. This dedication and discipline is now paying off in the form of an exhibition titled ‘Crap: a Beeple Retrospective’, which will run from February 1- 28 at the Made in NY Media Center in New York City. Beeple’s motion graphics and VJ clips for famous acts such as deadmau5, Skrillex and Avicii will also be included!
The show’s curator, Thomas Rotenberg, is a long-time fan of Beeple’s work and wants to present his work to a broader audience with this exhibition: “There’s a big difference between seeing Mike’s work as part of a VJ set and seeing it in a gallery setting, and I hope that the latter forces more casual viewers to see the incredible artistry that he puts forth in every piece.”
Beeple creates most of his works using Cinema 4D: “Cinema 4D really has been the backbone of almost all of the work that I do both with ‘everydays’ and with the motion work that I do.”
More information about the show can be found at the Website of the Made in NY Media Center.
