animago 2017 Conference Schedule and Nominations

In addition to the presentation of the animago AWARDS, an exciting lineup of presentations covering 3D and VFX will also be available

This year’s animago AWARD & Conference will take place from September 7 – 8 at the Gasteig in Munich, Germany. The awards ceremony will select the best animations, visualizations and visual effects from 11 categories, submitted by creatives from 58 countries. In the categories Best Character and Best Motion Design, ‘Shine’ and the opening titles for the Pause Festival 2017 were nominated and are two outstanding projects created with Cinema 4D (more information about the charming and visually enthralling project ‘Shine’ and how this thesis work was created at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg can be found online in our Customer Story section).
Visitors to this year’s animago Conference will experience a varied speaker program with exciting makings-of and tool presentations for 3D and VFX artists. Particularly interesting for Cinema 4D users are Matthias Zabiegly’s presentation ‘Perfectly Pretty – finding the sweet spot between tech and design’ and Robert Hranitzky’s making-of of the TOCA ME opening titles.
A special highlight will be Filmakademie graduates Johannes Flick’s and Alexander Dietrich’s insights into the creation of ‘Shine’ using Cinema 4D. In addition, MAXON’s Jonas Pilz and Glenn Frey will showcase the advantages of Cinema 4D and explain why it’s the ideal tool for any artist who is looking for a straightforward way of creating professional 3D graphics.
This year, MAXON will again be presenting the award in the category Best Motion Design. “With its toolset, MAXON has been at the forefront of motion design for several years, which has produced a large number of highly-skilled Cinema 4D motion graphics artists. This is why the Best Motion Design category is so important to us and we are proud to have the honor of presenting this award to the well deserved winner,” says Andres Hildebrandt, vice director marketing at MAXON.
