IT Support Specialist (m/f/d)
- Location: Bad Homburg (Metropolitan Area Frankfurt), Germany
What you will do:
- Provide prompt and accurate technical support for applications, servers, networks, and end-user devices
- Install and configure macOS, Windows, Linux, as well as additional software, on end-user devices and equipment
- Prepare end user work environment and install equipment and accessories as needed
- Troubleshoot onsite or remotely hardware and software problems, maintain and repair computers
- Provide level 1 onsite support on networking, IP telephony and server equipment
- Resolve and escalate IT helpdesk tickets per internal SLA
- Manage, track, and keep updated the local hardware inventory per internal policies
- Keep appropriate team members informed about the results of daily discussions to ensure accurate and up-to-date communication among team members
- Document & troubleshoot server or application anomalies, accurately diagnose helpdesk tickets
- Perform tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality of service
What we are looking for:
- At least 3 solid years of relevant professional experience in end user IT support
- Advanced knowledge of the Windows 10 and intermediate to advanced macOS 11+ operating systems
- Advanced experience with any of these will be an asset: Linux, Wintel Server administration, Antivirus administration, VMware, Hyper-V, PRTG, PowerShell, Zendesk administration
- Experience in LAN/WLAN basic troubleshooting, cabling/patching
- Strong proficiency and troubleshooting skills in Microsoft products, incl. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Outlook, and O365 main products
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory concepts required for IT desktop support
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS server administration, IT infrastructure, networks and IT security with ability to troubleshoot related issues on a basic level
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, excellent communication in English
