Senior Software Developer – 3D Tools & Visualization (m/f/d)

What you will do:

As a highly skilled Senior Software Developer on our Engineering team, you’ll help shape the future of Maxon’s technology and bring the technology into new products and markets by creating new workflows, intuitive tools, and compelling user experiences that push the boundaries of digital content creation and 3D visualization. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a team of passionate professionals and contribute to products that inspires creativity and innovation. Should you join our team, you will find yourself doing the following:

Design, develop, and optimize features for Maxon’s product using C++
Code across a variety of areas — from 3D staging, modeling, rendering, and animation to crafting polished UI — based on your strengths and interests
Invent and refine tools and workflows that elevate the creative possibilities of our products
Partner with fellow developers, product managers, and designers to bring extraordinary ideas to life
Collaborate closely with QA to ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance
Contribute to the product roadmap, proposing innovative solutions to technical challenges
Drive the technical direction of the team; coach and mentor other developers
Keep a finger on the pulse of the latest trends in 3D tech and software development — and integrate the best into our products

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Expert-level proficiency in C++ with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software, minimum 5 years of experience
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, and very good English language skills
Good understanding of linear algebra and 3D graphics related math
Low-level programming, e.g. Assembly analysis is a plus
Passion for 3D visualization, gaming, or digital content creation - with a desire to empower the creative community
