Team-Based Collaboration for Maxon Products Now Enabled by NVIDIA Omniverse Addressing the growing demand for high-quality content in a globally distributed workforce

This week at NVIDIA GTC, developers and business leaders have come together to share their vision for shaping our world with the power of AI and computer graphics. At the heart of conference presentations and discussions is NVIDIA Omniverse, an open platform designed for virtual 3D design collaboration and real-time physically accurate simulations. The goal for developers is to allow content creators to collaborate with various industry-standard creative applications and deliver real-time results.

Redshift – Maxon’s production-class rendering solution – is preparing for Omniverse with a full-featured Hydra delegate and support for native Redshift materials within USD. This enables users in Omniverse to tap into the full power of Redshift as easily as they can within any supported DCC. Redshift’s Hydra delegate first shipped last year for SideFX Solaris, and is coming soon for Maya, Katana and Omniverse.

Cinema 4D, our powerful and intuitive solution for 3D modeling, simulation and animation, offers support for USD, and enables seamless collaboration via NVIDIA Omniverse Drive or “OmniDrive.” ZBrush, the newest addition to the Maxon family of products and the industry-leading digital 3D sculpting solution, already offers USD support with mesh geometry. Additionally, Maxon is collaborating closely with NVIDIA and working iteratively to expand support for USD and Omniverse across product lines.

The engineering team and I are excited about NVIDIA Omniverse and its potential to connect people and workflows across the globe. We look forward to exploring its capabilities and bringing world-class solutions to our creative community.
