Something’s Awry Productions’ New 3D Halloween Short, ‘A Haunting in Candyland’ How they used Maxon One and other tools to tell a harrowing Halloween tale.

Just in time for Halloween, Something’s Awry Productions has released their latest 3D short, “A Haunting in Candyland.” Made using Maxon One, the spooky film has the same funny, smart vibe as their previous films, including “Grump in the Night” and "Unlucky Charms."

As always, the film was a team effort with Kris Theorin, the studio’s lead animator, bringing “Jabberwocky”-inspired poems written by his brother, Kurtis, to life.

In the Cineversity tutorials, Kris explains how he used Cinema 4D, Redshift, ZBrush, Cineware, and Red Giant’s Colorista, Looks, and Optical Glow for the film.

For now, enjoy this Halloween tale of candy-clad hunters making their way through a candy forest while being stalked by a terrifying creature.
