Clever Girl: VFX and Chill Makes Waves as Raptorize Memes Continue Daniel “Hashi” Hashimoto and Seth Worley Launch Instant-Classic @ButWithRaptors Twitter Account in Response to the Internet’s Demand for Raptors Everywhere

Maxon is at the helm of the next viral meme: Velociraptors in major motion pictures. Following the release of Universe Raptorize, a clever take on an April Fools joke from Maxon’s VFX and Chill dynamic duo Daniel “Hashi” Hashimoto (aka Action Movie Dad) and Seth Worley, more and more films have become overrun by the iconic raptor made famous nearly three decades ago in the Spielberg classic, Jurassic Park.

Originally, the team announced the (totally fake, not real at all) Universe Raptorize software as a way to easily convert Tom Cruise, in any footage, into Velociraptor Cruise. Instantly, with the help of Maxon’s suite of creative tools, movies like Mission Impossible and Jerry Maguire starred a tall, lanky, and loud Raptor saving the world and sliding across living rooms.

But they weren’t done with the fun yet. While the team (jokingly) threatened legal action against people raptorizing anyone other than Tom Cruise, it turns out most movies are more fun with a dinosaur as the star.

The next iteration of Maxon’s Reptilian movie franchise followed the star-crossed lovers, Maria and Tony, as they navigate their tragic love story. West Side Story, in this case, became even more tragic as a human woman falls in love with a Raptor. “Tony and Maria’s ill-fated romance was fine—beautiful even,” says Meaghan Kirby in her article for Nerdist. “However, a Velociraptor at the center of the love story would certainly add an even more unpredictable dynamic to the mix.” The raptorized version even got some love via a retweet from Maria (Rachel Zegler) herself!

Following the major success of the Raptorize effect and the endless amount of content desperately in need of being raptorized, Hashi and Seth are giving the internet what they want: more raptor. Their newly launched Twitter account, @ButWithRaptors, kicked off with Velociraptor Cruise, but the dino-curious can now find raptors in almost anything. From Norman Rockwell paintings to The Big Lebowski, this dinosaur is becoming the most sought-after actor in Hollywood.
