Senior Software Developer – CAD/BIM Integration for Redshift (m/f/d)

What you will do:
As a highly skilled Senior Software Developer on our Engineering team, you’ll help shape the future of Maxon’s technology and bring the technology into new products and markets by creating new workflows, intuitive tools, and compelling user experiences that push the boundaries of digital content creation and 3D visualization. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a team of passionate professionals and contribute to products that inspire creativity and innovation.
In this position you will:
- Architect and develop new and existing plugins for Architectural Visualization to connect Maxon Redshift to host CAD/BIM software applications (like Vectorworks, Revit, ArchiCAD, etc.)
- Implement real-time synchronization so design changes flow seamlessly in both directions between host applications and Redshift visualization
- Handle transitions of data (geometry, textures, material properties, vegetation/asset libraries, and lighting) between host applications and Redshift visualization
- Ensure exceptional performance for large-scale architectural projects
- Collaborate with UX, product management, and developers from other teams at Maxon to deliver intuitive and exciting user workflows
- Mentor junior developers while maintaining high coding standards
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Expert-level proficiency in C++ with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software
- Experience in C#, .NET or relevant languages for CAD plugin development is a plus
- Proven experience in building plugins or integrations in 3D DCCs and general development experience in 3D software industry
- Experience with development of plugins for CAD/BIM software applications is a plus
- Solid understanding of 3D geometry handling, material systems, and asset management
- Excellent debugging, optimization, and performance tuning skills
- Knowledge of CAD/architectural workflows
- Experience with rendering software – ideally Redshift, but also other rendering tools (e.g. Unreal Engine, Unity, V-Ray) – is a plus
