Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

What you will do:
As part of our legal team, you will interact with various teams across the company including Operations, Product Management, Marketing, HR, Engineering and Sales. You will join the Legal Team at our HQ in Bad Homburg, Germany.
- You will advise on matters mainly related to data privacy and protection, ensuring compliance with applicable laws such as GDPR and other relevant regulatory frameworks. In this capacity, you will also create and implement data privacy-related workflows to support organizational compliance and maintain as well as regularly update the company’s Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) in close collaboration with business departments
- You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), marketing agreements, NDAs, etc. You will also be tasked with template creation, drafting internal policies, and providing general legal advice to all business functions
- You will provide support on a broad range of legal topics such as general corporate, compliance, commercial and other transactions, and ad hoc projects
- You will set up new processes, draft new templates, and create new workflows for the Legal team
What we are looking for:
- An LLB/JD or equivalent degree in law and 5+ years of professional legal experience post-qualification
- Strong knowledge of data privacy laws across multiple jurisdictions with hands-on experience
- Strong understanding of technology laws
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Skill in providing pragmatic legal advice, having business know-how and can support the business in a practical and compliant manner
- An organized, detail-oriented, efficient team-member who can work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Nice to have:
- A high level of interest in technology
- Experience working in an international environment
- Expertise in software licensing, IP law
- A good understanding of the creative industry
- German language fluency
- Active bar membership
