Accountant (m/f/d)

What you will do:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves assisting with financial transactions recording, supporting the month-end closing process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and collaborating with the finance team to meet the deadline.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Work with the team on the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Manage Credit Card and receipts, and post payments in Net-Suite
- Process accounts receivable, accounts payable transactions
- Support the finance team with auditing, and reconciliation tax processes
- Prepare financial reports, including Income Statement, cash flow, and balance sheets
- Collaborate with the order processing team to ensure orders are accurately managed and closed on time
- Verify that opportunities in Salesforce are accurate before processing orders and issuing invoices
- Performs additional duties and ad hoc projects as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives
What we are looking for:
- Degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting and sales software (Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with month-end closing
- Experience with tax filings, including US and Canadian sales tax reporting and compliance
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities as well as bookkeeping procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to be poised and polished under pressure
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Salary Range*:
USD 75,000 – 85,000 annually
