Leading with character
How I took my 2d illustration and animation style into 3d without losing the personality. I don’t have a high level of technical skill but I’ve still managed to build a successful career as a 3d artist/designer/animator by abandoning perfection,having a keen eye for design, and a sense of humour. How I make the tech work for me to create funny engaging characters and narratives for editorial, commercial and music videos.

Christa Jarrold is a director, illustrator and animator from London that infuses the lively essence of her hand-drawn designs into the 3D world. Inspired by the alternative culture and cartoons and colour schemes of the 90s, Christa’s creative realm is characterised by a spirited sense of humour, often featuring eccentric, neurotic characters exploring the narrative of dystopian modern life.
She has lent her directing, design and animation skills to Netflix, The New York Times, Coldplay, Washington Post, Comedy Central, Lemonade Inc, Warner Music, Wired magazine, VICE, Blink Industries and Passion Pictures.

Eva is a 3D Artist and Animation Director from The Netherlands. Her playful, graphic CGI style combines with her unique design sensibility to create charming, joyful worlds of fun. Adorning a multitude of different mediums, her signature elements and characters can be found in the form of digital art, sculptures, murals and apparel, for a growing list of global clients including H&M, Meta, L'oreal Paris, Apple and Samsung.

This session will give everyone an insight into his techniques, workflow and the process behind some of his designs. Whether you're a fellow designer or just curious about digital art, this presentation will offer a unique perspective on poster creation. 

Vasjen Katro popularly known as Baugasm is a prolific freelance visual designer and art director.
He started designing at the young age of 14. After being inspired by electronic music, he went full swing into design and began designing his own covers for the label he was part of. He discovered that Art is the only platform he can express himself because this is the area that inspires him the most in life. Vasjen constantly demonstrates persistence and resourcefulness whenever it comes to doing what he loves to do best - designing. His most prominent work is ‘Baugasm’ - a personal project he started early in 2016, where he challenged himself to design a poster daily for one year and post them on Instagram.
