Data Analyst (m/f/d)

What you will do:

As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will focus on web and app user acquisition analytics, supporting capture, tracking, measurement, validation, and reporting that informs marketing performance and ROI decisions. This role sits at the intersection of Marketing, Finance, and Engineering.  Through close collaboration, you will define measurement frameworks, ensure data integrity, develop attribution logic, and support incrementality testing while delivering certified reporting. 

This role will own marketing systems and tools (like GA4 and Marketing Cloud) in the part of setting up end-to-end event tracking and analytics for our marketing activities, such as paid ads, emails, social media campaigns, and more – with the goal of understanding their ROI. 

Web & App Analytics 

  • Analyze user acquisition performance across channels like Google, Meta, Bing, emails, etc.
  • Own conversion events setup, tracking, and reporting
  • Be deeply involved in marketing instrumentation and ensure correct setup as campaigns evolve
  • Analyze funnels from impression to click to conversion

Measurement & Attribution 

  • Develop attribution models, assumptions, and limitations
  • Design incrementality and A/B testing frameworks

Reporting & Insights 

  • Build and maintain decision dashboards for marketing performance and ROI
  • Report on spend, conversions, revenue, CAC, ROAS, and trends over time
  • Surface insights and performance gaps that marketing can act on
  • Clearly communicate caveats, confidence levels, and data limitations
  • Ensure analysis connects marketing performance to business outcomes and drives informed decisions

Data Quality & Validation 

  • Validate data correctness across sources and flag discrepancies early
  • Support reconciliation between marketing platforms and downstream systems
  • Contribute to monitoring and quality checks to ensure data is fit for decision-making

Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Product, and Analytics teammates to deliver decision-ready analysis
  • Translate business questions into clear analytical approaches
  • Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

What we are looking for:

Experience & Technical Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or related field
  • 3–6+ years' experience in marketing app or web analytics
  • Deep, hands-on experience owning GA4 tagging, event taxonomy, and conversion frameworks
  • Strong understanding of tagging, events, and conversion tracking
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience working with Databricks or similar modern analytics platforms
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Solid understanding of funnels, attribution, experimentation, and marketing metrics
  • Experience acting as a system owner or primary point of accountability for analytics configuration in a production environment

Soft Skills 

  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Comfortable working closely with marketing stakeholders
  • Able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented, curious, and accountable
