Software Developer - Red Giant (m/f/d)

What you will do:
We seek a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our Red Giant team. In this role, you will help shape the future of one of the industry’s most beloved toolsets for visual effects, motion graphics, and video post-production. You will contribute to various features and technologies across computer graphics, AI, and digital media while collaborating with a passionate team dedicated to innovation and user experience. Should you join our team, you will find yourself doing the following:
- Develop cutting-edge tools, workflows, and product features for Red Giant
- Contribute in many development areas, including computer graphics, signal processing, AI, UI/UX, and CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain and extend multiple complex codebases and investigate and fix bugs
- Contribute to technical designs and use your knowledge to help the team innovate
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to bring high-quality ideas to life
- Communicate effectively with remote teammates and other departments
- Proactively raise issues that impact deliverables
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong programming skills in C++ and understanding of modern object-oriented programming paradigms
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software debugging
- Solid understanding of computer graphics and digital media workflows
- Experience with CMake, Git version control and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Practical experience with macOS (Xcode) or Windows (Visual Studio) development
- Familiarity with modern compositing and video editing software (After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) is beneficial
- Exposure to 2D/3D content creation software, 3D game engines is a bonus
- Experience with Python, CSS/JavaScript UI or native mobile (Android, iOS) is a plus
- Passion for creativity and media production
- Team spirited, dependable and goal-oriented
- Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and focus on delivering quality
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate technical feature requirements and document the approach taken
- Strong communication skills and command of the English language
