Hedrons, Stags and Noble Metals Art director Nik Hill left production powerhouse Territory Studio to focus on jewelry design with Cinema 4D

Nik Hill, long-time Cinema 4D professional and art director at Territory Studio, has led teams of talented artists for many years, creating motion graphics and VFX for films like The Martian, Zoolander 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy as well as broadcast, games and many other projects.

Nik recently left Territory Studio to pursue a project of his own, Twenty Third C, a line of unisex jewelry that fuses motion graphics and 3D printing. Using Cinema 4D, ZBrush and 3D printing, Nik collaborates with his girlfriend to create jewelry inspired by geometry and animals that can be worn by anyone.

To celebrate the launch of the company's online store, Nik teamed up with internationally renowned VFX artist and render guru Raphael Rau and Zelig Sound to create an experiential promotion video.

Minneapolis-based freelance author Meleah Maynard had the chance to talk to the designer and ask him about his sources of inspiration and future plans. Her interview with Nik Hill was recently published in Renderosity Magazine.
