The 1939 Wizard of Oz is coming to the Las Vegas Sphere. They're not just upscaling the original to fit the 16K wrap around screen - Google AI is expanding the film with the use of Generative AI models trained on the technicolor classic. This week on VFX and Chill we'll discuss the process they're using, the ethics, and what artistic responsibility a team of Generative Video Engineers have. We'll spend the second half of the show trying to expand shots from other classic films using tools a single artist can manage.
