What you will do:

Maxon is looking for a leader with a strong enterprise partner and sales background to take on the role of Director, Channel Sales. This is a people manager role reporting to the Global Head of Sales.

In this role, you will lead Maxon’s channel business, owning responsibility for strategy, programs, and revenue execution for our network of partners representing Americas, EMEA and APAC. This leader will build executive relationships within our existing partner network, while strategically recruiting new partners to align with our global coverage goals. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute reseller programs that make our partners successful at delivering superior digital creative tools for filmmakers, editors, motion designers, and visual effect artists.

  • Develop the Reseller partner strategy for Maxon as well as drive the development of the operational infrastructure that supports it
  • Build and maintain executive relationships within our partner organizations that lead to successful business relationships and alignment
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard resellers and distributors globally as needed to support and scale the business
  • Serve as a senior stakeholder and point of escalation internally and in partner interactions
  • Develop programs to make it easy for our reseller partners to resell customers efficiently and drive business with us in their region
  • Standardize reporting to track, measure and report on channel effectiveness against targets
  • Work with marketing to ensure resellers globally have the support and materials they need to succeed
  • Grow and mentor a team over time by attracting and retaining top talent

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in channel sales / partner management in the software industry
  • 3+ years as a people manager with a demonstrated passion for recruiting, developing, and retaining top channels talent
  • Experience building scalable reseller partner ecosystems, including driving partner recruitment, enablement, and go-to-market strategies and programs
  • Confident presenting to senior-level customer audiences with ability to effectively interact with and influence partner and customer executives
  • Global mindset, comfortable working with cross-regional, cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams and partners in a high-growth environment
  • A natural tendency toward collaboration, a team-oriented approach, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or equivalent experience preferred. A Master's Degree in Business or Marketing is a plus
  • Knowledgeable about the B2B SaaS sales motion, and able to ensure that resellers can successfully replicate that when selling
  • Experience with a vendor company in the Media & Entertainment industry a plus
