MAXON @ FMX 2018

Visit us from April 24 – 27, 2018 at the FMX in Stuttgart, Germany.

MAXON will again be presenting a great lineup of high-end Cinema 4D workshops. In a total of eight sessions, internationally known artists will talk about their short films ranging from a lobotomized rabbit to how to use Cinema 4D for a VR project for ZDF Digital and about the new possibilities for visualizing complex data.

A road to #hyperreality

Kuba Matyka will present several of his award-winning projects produced by his Warsaw-based MELT studio, including the VR experience ‘The Missed Spaceflght’, the multi-sensor interactive experience ‘Play Invaders’ and VR motion design projects for the Littlestar and Pause Fests. Kuba will use these projects to give an exciting overview of the experiments, experiences and insights he and his partner Kamila Staszczyszyn were able to make over the past years in their exploration of immersive worlds.

Long Story Short – Don’t Feed These Animals

‘Don’t Feed These Animals’ is an independent short film project by Nebula Studios in Portugal. It was inspired by a character from illustrator José Alves da Silva. In their presentation, Guilherme Afonso and Miguel Madail offer a detailed look behind the scenes –  from setting up a multi-national team for the film project to setting up the production pipeline based on Cinema 4D and the actual production and animation.

Among the things Toros Köse will speak about are his work on the title animation for the Pause Fest 2018 and the short film ‘Into the Bright Unknown’. He will focus on his creative production process and will share his experiences as a professional designer.

History comes to life – Integrating CGI in 360° Footage

With ‘History 360°’, the team at ZDF Digital, with Christian Mechelmann and Mario Hill at the helm, has created an immersive video experience that uses VR glasses to let viewers visit historic places in Germany. The combination of “traditional” 360° spaces and VFX elements create a much more vivid storytelling experience for the various historic settings. In their presentation, Christian and Mario will explain their workflow and production techniques that they developed for their work on ‘History 360’ – from setting up each scene to final rendering and compositing.
