Your Body And CINEMA 4D

In his book about the "Korponaut" (Bodynaut), Nanolino, doctor and author Prof. Dietrich Grönemeyer struck a new path for teaching children about their bodies.

His concept of using an enthralling story to playfully teach young readers about their bodies was given an enthusiastic response.

Freelance 3D artist, Glen Frey, has been working with CINEMA 4D for about four years. His fresh and unique artistic style convinced Prof. Grönemeyer to use 3D as the medium of choice for part II of his best selling book about Nanolino.

The sequal to such a successful book naturally requires convincing characters in order to effectively tell the story. CINEMA 4D and its Sketch and Toon module make just such a look possible and let scenes be edited easily if needed. Changes to illustrations created the traditional way required each scene to be illustrated anew. CINEMA 4D, on the other hand, lets a scene be easily edited, including camera angle and much more.

"The greatest challenge was to give each character its own individual look, to make them interesting while applying a cartoon look and making them appear plausible - all within the time allotted for the project. CINEMA 4D, its R10 character tools and the Sketch and Toon module were the perfect combination for the timely realization of all creative ideas and challenges associated with this project" says Glen Frey.
