Medical Sciences Business Plan Competition Spot Created with CINEMA 4D.

Eyerock Media created an eye-catching animation short for CP Compartner as an online goodie for the website of a regional business plan competition. This spot depicts the competition between sperm racing to reach an egg cell.

In their effort to do so they are quickly passed by a single green fellow sperm that reaches the egg cell first and inseminates it, thereby coloring it green.

The spot was designed to look as if viewed through a Raster Electron Microscope (REM). After the storyboard had been completed and approved the animation's "star" actors were created via polygon modeling. The eye-catching "REM" look was simulated using CINEMA 4D's "Cheen" shader.

After the sperm had been rigged and animated the "race" could begin. Special attention was paid to the realistic movement of the sperm cells.

In addition to CINEMA 4D, Adobe's After Effects was used in the creation of this project. The green rings that emanate from the sphere were created using CINEMA 4D and the graphic elements were added in post-production using After Effects.

The final cut was done in Premiere and a matching sound track was created by Eyerock's audio experts that gave this animation its final polish.
