Every month we get hundreds of emails from people who are new to 3D and want to know where to start and what software package to choose from. In almost every case our first recommendation is CINEMA 4D.

One of the first things to note about the R10 release of CINEMA 4D is that the Body Paint 3D software that was previously available separately or in one of the more expensive bundles is now available in every version of CINEMA 4D.

The first thing you will notice, assuming you have seen or tried a previous release, is the new user interface...We have always found the CINEMA 4D interface easy to use and at first didn't like the idea of change, but once we used it for a few days we decided that it is a big improvement over the previous interface...

Included in the interface overhaul, the animation tools and Timeline also have a new look and feel and are optimized for maximum efficiency. These new animation tools are one of the bigger improvements that our testers have noticed in the new R10 release.

...we loved the new Interactive Render Region feature that lets you select any portion of a viewport to keep a real time render going to reduce full test renders.

...With CINEMA 4D's Advanced Render module you can pair up the PyroCluster shaders with a particle system to create unbelievable effects in just a few mouse clicks.

...For character creators there is the new MOCCA 3 module to make rigging and animating characters easier than before. As you would expect, there all sorts of new tools and features to make modeling easier, lighting better, and rendering a breeze as well so be sure to download the demo...

CINEMA 4D R10 is by far the best release of CINEMA 4D that adds a brand new interface and tons of new features to an already amazing program...When compared to the prices of other programs with similar features CINEMA 4D is a bargain...

As I was writing this review I realized there is another great  feature  to CINEMA 4D that has applied to every version I can remember, and that is the speed at which the program loads...Not only does R10 load faster than R9, but R10 is just so much faster than pretty much any other program out there...
