MAXON COMPUTER OPENS LIAISON OFFICE IN JAPAN

MAXON Computer, December 13, 2001 - MAXON Computer held a press conference during the Inter Bee 2001 show in Tokyo to announce the opening of a liaison office in Japan. The move is designed to bring closer product integration with the Japanese market and coincides with the Japanese language launch of CINEMA 4D XL 7, MAXON's award-winning 3D software package. MAXON Computer Japan will assist local distributor TMS Corporation by providing enhanced customer services and marketing support.

Speaking at the press conference, MAXON Computer GmbH's general manager Harald Egel said: ''The Japanese market is vitally important to us. The opening of MAXON Computer Japan is an important step forward in our strategy for bringing localized, enhanced support to our Japanese customers and distributors.'

MAXON further demonstrated its commitment to the Japanese 3D market by translating the bulk of the MAXON website. Japanese visitors to www.maxon.net/jp can now access full information on MAXON Computer products in their native language, with the Japanese pages running in parallel to those in English and German.
