Born in a small town in Valencia, Spain, this musician and illustrator had loved arts since childhood. At the age of 18 he left music school to work as a graphic designer at local companies.A few years later he found a job in computer graphics and began testing programs and rendering engines at home, also as a form of self-training.
He later came upon a demo version of CINEMA 4D and was immediately impressed by its stability, speed and powerful features. CINEMA 4D quickly became his tool of choice for CG.
Soon Carles was creating professional-looking work and decided to venture into a career as a CG artist, motivated by his personal work and CINEMA 4D's ease of use and fast workflow. As the internet was becoming an ever more important medium for getting your work seen, Carles entered and won several CG World online contests with his CINEMA 4D works.
Having proven his skills, he was able to begin working as a beta tester for MAXON Computer and Nemetschek. His work has also been featured in books, periodicals and online communities,
with great acclaim worlwide.
At the age of 34, Carles began working at 263Films in Milan, Italy. His first project, "Dear Anne, The Gift of Hope", allowed him to work as a multi-faceted CG supervisor. Among his roles werethose of documentation coordinator, assistant producer, texturuer, shading and lighting specialist and art director. Here, too, MAXON products played a key role in much of his work.
"CINEMA 4D is a very flexible tool which allows an ideal, ultra-fast workflow, making it possible to forget the technical issues and letting me use all my time just for the creative process.
Also, the BodyPaint 3D texturing module becomes a must-have tool since it offers solutions in just seconds for some difficult texturing jobs."
