Flash makes the leap into the third dimension Xpell.com conjures up a website in Flash that makes extensive use of 3D graphics

The number of colors was reduced to keep the animation relatively compact. When you consider that there are over 20 pure 3D animations (each with up to 60 frames) plus the "normal" Flash animations on top of this, the team did a fantastic compression job here.
The team also found that CINEMA 4D made light work of unwanted shadows and reflections:
"We found it extremely useful that CINEMA 4D allows you to have a light affect certain objects only. In fact, the website as it is now wouldn't have been possible without this incredibly useful feature. Almost all the objects have a shadow and reflection. Because the light is coming directly from the front, the turret would normally have cast a huge long shadow onto the floor and its reflection would have been just as ugly. With CINEMA 4D we were able to get rid of all unwanted shadows and reflections."
