Allianz Dresdner CINEMA 4D helped with the creation of a film which demonstrates the merger of these two companies...

This film symbolizes the fusion of Allianz Insurance and Dresdner Bank and was visualized by Serge Mustu. CINEMA 4D's Metaballs, Point-Level-Animation-Keyframes and After Effects were used to create a stylized spot about the genesis of a new life in the womb.
Allianz Dresdner Asset Management (abbrev. "Adam") is one of the world's five largest wealth management institutions, which was created by the takeover of the Dresdner Bank by the Allianz AG. The merger was to be portrayed as a genesis of new life.
The project had to be completed in three weeks. After one week of experimenting with CINEMA 4D I found the solution in Metaballs.
Making of Adam - with CINEMA 4D
Free-floating Metaballs were used for the first step, the embryo animation. An SLA Shader was used for the texture and was used to generate a liquid, pulsating surface when the spheres were in motion. Lighting, fog and camera motion with depth-of-field made the scene complete.
An Embryo Made of Spheres and Hierarchies
The embryo is comprised of about 160 spheres in various heirarchies packed in a Metaball Object. The differing sizes of the spheres resulted in an interesting look in CINEMA 4D. The fingers of the embryo's hands, for example, are comprised of three to five spheres.
Animation with Point-Level-Animation-Keyframes
The fetus's base model was taken from the website www.3dcafe.com and was altered to meet the requirements of the Adam spot.
The baby was animated using Poser 4 and were imported to CINEMA 4D, thanks to the Poser to CINEMA 4D plugins. With the use of these plugins, CINEMA 4D is able to import all Poser animations such as facial morphs.
Finally, After Effects was used to do a color adjustment and lay a Photoshop level with an image of organs over the movie.
