Streetmonkey used CINEMA 4D to produce a TV ad for The Northern Ireland Ideal Home Show, an annual event held in the Kings Hall, Belfast, which provides inspiration and ideas for interiors and home décor. The Anderson Spratt Group approached us to create an ad which is different from the obvious generic commercials associated with this sort of event.

Using Pixar's "For the Birds" as an influence we modelled cute characters loosely based on Blue Tits using CINEMA 4D. BodyPaint 3D was used to unwrap the UV's and texture the birds, which were then rigged for animation with MOCCA's IK tools. Posemixer provided a fast simple solution to facial animation which proved very effective.

Each scene was animated and rendered out in seperate layers with alpha channels to enable us to make any required changes in composition via After Effects.

As the birds were modelled in 3D we were also able to provide additional high resolution print art for a 48 sheet poster campaign.
