CINEMA 4D

Technical Information

The most current version is MAXON CINEBENCH R10 (August 1, 2007)

The Minimum System Requirements Are:
One or more of the supported CPUs (see list) running at a minimum overall clock speed of 1 GHz; a graphics card that supports OpenGL in 1024 x 768 pixels screen resolution; 512 MB RAM.

Even though MAXON CINEBENCH R10 may start and run on smaller systems that do not meet the minimum system requirements, the results displayed may be incorrect.

What Do the Results Mean?
MAXON CINEBENCH uses a broad set of commands and CPU instructions to run its tests. Therefore, the benchmark results are a good indicator not only for CINEMA 4D users looking for a powerful computer but for anyone who is looking for a system that can run a variety of tasks that place high demands on CPUs and graphics cards.

Of course CINEMA 4D users will benefit greatly from MAXON CINEBENCH. The benchmark results can be directly correlated to CINEMA 4D performance. If a system has a 20% higher CB in rendering, this computer will also perform ~20% better in everyday work with CINEMA 4D (depending on actual scene requirements, the factor may vary slightly).

Graphics cards' results cannot always be compared 1:1. Graphics card performance is dependent on numerous other parameters such as CPU speed and driver version, among others. The same graphics card in conjunction with different processors will result in different CB values.

Background processes, if any (e.g. virus scanning, networking, etc.), that are running during testing can also affect the end result. Continuing to work with a given application during testing (incl. listening to MP3s, checking emails, online surfing or even viewing the task manager, etc.) can also affect results.
