Modeling

Model faster and more accurately with new interactive Workplane modes, dynamic guides and a completely redesigned snapping system. Easily align your workplane to any world axis, camera or current selection, then snap to the grid or adjust global coordinates based on the workplane orientation. Draw linear or planar guides directly in the Viewport or snap to dynamic guides generated around each component. You can also easily select objects or components by simply painting over them with the right mouse button pressed.

Workplanes

Redefine your 3D world with CINEMA 4D R14's Workplane tools. Automatically orient the workplane grid to the current view, the axis of the selected object or the component under the cursor. Lock the Workplane at any time or reset it to the world axis with a single click. Snap objects and components to the grid or set global coordinates based on the workplane position and rotation. 

Guides

Line up objects and components precisely with 3D guides. Guides are an invaluable tool in any 2D program. Now CINEMA 4D R14 lets you create linear or planar guides in three dimensions. Draw guides directly in the Viewport using the Guide Tool and adjust them with the Move, Scale and Rotate tools. Generate automatic dynamic guides around any element to easily snap to any angle and line up components of multiple objects.

Snapping

Easily snap objects and components to the Workplane, guides and other elements. As you drag a component, the snap radius and type of each potential snap target will be displayed in the Viewport. Adjust snap settings globally or use tool-specific modes to dial in specific snap settings.

Raycast Selection

Select objects and components quickly and easily using the new Raycast selection. This lets you optimize your workflow by letting you make selections without having to switch tools - simply move the cursor over elements with the right mouse button pressed.
