The first step to creating a visualization using the Architecture Edition is to import your CAAD file to CINEMA 4D. This can be done by simply exporting your file from your CAD environment (Allplan, ArchiCAD or Vectorworks) directly into the CINEMA 4D file format. All defined structures and hierarchies will be supported, and materials applied in the CAD application will be recognized and displayed in CINEMA 4D.

Subsequent changes to your model can also be easily transferred to CINEMA 4D. Whether you move a wall, add a window or delete an addition, the eXchange plugin will recognize the changes made when the file is imported anew and the existing visualization will be modified accordingly.

Objects modeled in CINEMA 4D can even be transferred to Allplan. You can use the Material eXchanger plugin to automatically exchange a file's CAD materials with high-end CINEMA 4D materials upon import.
