Fittingly, the latest award was handed over at London Zoo, the memorable venue for this year's MacUser Awards held on October 22, where CINEMA 4D was honored as MacUser Best 3D Software 2009.
Five coveted MacUser awards are now in the CINEMA 4D trophy cabinet - CINEMA 4D also won MacUser Best 3D Software in 2000, 2001, 2004 and 2007. They are not alone. Keeping them in good company are three Macworld Best 3D Software awards, garnered in 2002, 2006 and 2009. Together, the eight wins make CINEMA 4D the most awarded 3D application on the Mac in the UK today.

Notably, the double win in 2009 gives CINEMA 4D the thumbs up from press and end users alike: While the Macworld award was decided by the magazine's editors, the MacUser award was voted for by readers.
"It's amazing to think that CINEMA 4D has won so many of these high-profile awards in the UK. It's a sign that CINEMA 4D is on the right track in making professional 3D software easy to use and in supporting the latest Macintosh advances, such as its blistering 64-bit performance. Thank you so much to all our customers who voted for us," said Liam Stacy, Managing Director at MAXON UK.
The MacUser Best 3D Software award was one of 11 categories this year voted for by readers. A record number of votes were cast, with the MacUser audience voting in their thousands for their favorite applications.
MacUser paid tribute to CINEMA 4D, in particular, praising the application's support for 64-bit on the Mac: "CINEMA 4D now offers 64-bit support, so can take advantage of as much memory as you have on your Mac."
The eight wins to date are testament to MAXON's dedication to making state-of-the-art 3D tools easier to use and to supporting the latest Mac technology. In 2007, CINEMA 4D was the first professional 3D graphics application released as a Universal Binary version for Apple's Intel-powered Macs. 2008 saw CINEMA 4D add support for 64-bit architecture on Apple G5 and Intel-powered Macs. And in 2009, full compatibility with Mac OS X Snow Leopard was swiftly introduced, including access to up to 64 GB of virtual memory.
