It was celebration time again for MAXON at the Macworld Awards 2013, held in London on June 20, 2013.
Cinema 4D won 'Best 3D & Video Software,' making it the fourth time that MAXON's flagship 3D modelling, rendering, painting and animation software has picked up the prestigious award.
Cinema 4D impressed Macworld with its user-friendliness and depth of new features: "What was always one of the most user-friendly 3D packages has got even more so, and for veterans there are improvements across the board."
Other nominations for the category were The Foundry MODO 701, Avid Media Composer 6.5, Autodesk Maya 2014, Autodesk Inventor Fusion, and E-on Software Vue 11 Infinite.
"We're humbled to have won our fourth Macworld award," said Liam Stacy, Managing Director at MAXON UK. "We are delighted that Macworld has recognised Cinema 4D's ease of use. The less time you spend on the technical side of things, and the quicker it is to work, the more you can play and get the result you are looking for."
Further good news on the night came for MAXON when Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) won 'Publishing & Design Software of the Year.' After Effects CC features the debut of CINEWARE, a full-featured workflow integration between After Effects CC and Cinema 4D, which also includes a Lite version of Cinema 4D that can be upgraded to the full Broadcast or Studio version with a huge discount until August 30, 2013.
"The ability to work backwards and forwards between After Effects and Cinema 4D is a major bonus ... This is the kind of feature that will become a regular tool for both VFX and motion graphics artists alike," said Macworld.
