MAXON Computer, a leading developer of professional 3D modeling, painting, animation and rendering solutions, today announced details of its presence at the 2011 NAB Show – the premier event for content professionals, taking place April 11th – 14th in Las Vegas. CINEMA 4D, the company’s cornerstone 3D software application, is renowned for its ease of use, quick workflow, fast rendering and unmatched integration into leading compositing applications, providing motion graphics artists, filmmakers, game developers, designers and others, an ideal, production proven 3D solution for tackling even the most complex projects.  During show hours, MAXON welcomes members of the press and convention attendees to stop by its exhibitor booth # SL2327.

MAXON Press Luncheon
MAXON will commence this year’s show with its third annual press luncheon on Monday, April 11th, where Paul Babb, president and CEO, MAXON US, will discuss the company’s latest 3D product line up and provide updates regarding the company’s education and training initiatives. A special guest appearance from Dylan Cole of Dylan Cole Studio – one of today’s most sought after art directors, concept artists, and matte painters with contributions to more than 50 feature films to his credit – will provide an overview of his 3D work with CINEMA 4D on recent films including Alice in Wonderland, Avatar and Tron Legacy. Last fall, MAXON released CINEMA 4D 12, the next generation of its highly-acclaimed professional 3D software application. The comprehensive CINEMA 4D Release 12 builds on more than two decades of 3D graphics development excellence and boasts dozens of new productivity-enhancing features, including improved rendering, enhanced dynamics, new deformers and superior character animation capabilities to allow digital artists to intuitively and easily create high-end 3D images and animations.

During the past year, MAXON's CINEMA 4D and BodyPaint 3D were essential assets in digital filmmaking and television production. From the high-tech gadgetry and motion graphics sequences in Iron Man 2 to the historically accurate and inspired exterior set extensions of a bustling seaside boardwalk in Boardwalk Empire, and the visionary underground landscapes in Alice in Wonderland, the company's 3D solutions continued to help artists create many of the year's most acclaimed and imaginative characters, backgrounds, titles, effects and environments.

Guest artists currently confirmed to present work created with MAXON software include:

• Jeremy Cox, a designer and animator at Imaginary Forces, a preeminent creative studio and digital agency, will demo CINEMA 4D’s role in projects ranging from the creation of title sequences on Boardwalk Empire to a show packaging design for VH1 Divas Salute the Troops”.
  
  
• Barton Damer is an award-winning motion designer and digital artist working in a variety of mediums including print, web, live productions and broadcast television under his moniker, Already Been Chewed. At the MAXON booth he will highlight digital illustrations and motion design work using CINEMA 4D on behalf of prominent brands and creative talent.
  
  
• Dylan Cole will also be making presentations at the MAXON booth showcasing his work with CINEMA 4D. [Note: see the above section “MAXON Press Luncheon” for background details on Dylan.]
  
  
• Al Heck is a motion graphics artist who works at MGM Resorts International and runs the tutorial-based website, Renderready.com. He will outline CINEMA 4D’s role in animating displacement channels to create ocean water as well as texture layering and compositing in After Effects.
  
  
• Nick Campbell runs the hugely popular Greyscalegorilla.com site. The motion designer, photographer, iPhone app designer, educator and CINEMA 4D “super” user returns to the MAXON booth this year to break down the technical process of using CINEMA 4D on various high profile motion graphics-related projects.
  
  
• Scott Bartholomew, senior art director at Westernized Productions, an animation, design, branding and FX and commercial production studio will show how the company combines animation with cutting edge VFX techniques for clients such as Corning, Honda, and Cisco.
  
  
• Rob Garrott is a digital artist working under his moniker Bending Pixels and an instructor on Lynda.com. Each day at NAB he will present a tutorial on how to create a broadcast style logo animation using CINEMA 4D and After Effects.
  
  
• Mike "the Monkey" Senften, a freelance artist from Brooklyn, N.Y., will present a title sequence created at New York design firm Gretel for the AIGA's “Gain Conference” and a promotional piece celebrating the Joyce Theater's nomination as the main tenant in the World Trade Center Performing Arts Center site designed by Frank Gehry.

MAXON Around the NAB 2011 Show Floor
Around the NAB 2011 show floor MAXON will offer show attendees the opportunity to become better acquainted with its 3D product line and will foster educational and networking opportunities, as follows:

• Broadcast Education Association 2011 (BEA) – April 9th – April 13th, Las Vegas Hilton
  This year the BEA is hosting its annual convention to overlap with the NAB Show. The professional association for professors, industry professionals and graduate students interested in teaching and research related to electronic media and multimedia enterprises, is planning a special technology demo stage aimed at NAB attendees. • Final Cut Pro – Las Vegas SuperMeet – Tuesday, April 12th, 4:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Bally's Hotel Event Center - on the Las Vegas Strip
  The Final Cut Pro User Group Network SuperMeet, the largest annual gathering of FCP, Avid and Adobe editors, HDSLR filmmakers and digital content creators, returns to NAB to celebrate its tenth annual SuperMeet. CINEMA 4D is acclaimed for its outstanding functionality and ease of use on the Mac platform and has received numerous honors and accolades including a five-star review for CINEMA 4D R12 from Macworld Magazine.   The Media Motion Ball 2011 organized by the International Media Users Group (IMUG) and the AE List – entirely independent, nonprofit and volunteer organizations – is the premier event for post production, 3D and motion graphics professionals.
