Sehsucht created a spot for the Toyota Yaris that blurs the line between what's real and what's not.
This spot is filled with visual effects that make it impossible to tell if you're seeing the actual car or only a projection of it.
"A particular challenge was to make the projection itself an attention-getting element. Everything had to be rendered twice for each projection - once from the 3D tracked camera and once from an offset camera projection onto geometry. A great deal of imagination was needed to be able to pre-visualize this optical distortion. You basically had to think in two different perspectives", explains Sehsucht's Timo von Wittken.
This spot was created using CINEMA 4D. The primary components used were the camera projection feature, MoGraph, Advanced Render, Thinking Particles and NET Render. Five 64-bit 2.5 GHz workstations and a total of 20 render clients were used to output the results of six weeks's work from a team of nine Sehsucht professionals.
