3D Product Visualization – TV Spots for Electronic Partner Stores

Eyerock Media and ART Film have been producing TV spots for the Electronic Partner chain of stores for several years. For the newest series of spots it was decided that all products would be visualized in 3D to ensure the maximum level of flexibility for animated sequences and lighting setups.

Electronic Partner made each product available to the artists at Eyerock Media so they could get a better impression of how the product looks and feels. These were then photographed for use as reference objects in the modeling and texturing process. Detailed models were then built in CINEMA 4D.

“CINEMA 4D offers me the perfect tools that let me quickly and efficiently create 3D models”, says 3D artist Paar Brauner. Texturing is done using both shaders as well as photographs of the actual products. A standard lighting setup was used for all objects, which ensured consistent and high-quality results in the final rendering. The finished models and lighting setups were then passed on to ART Film where they were animated and composited in Adobe After Effects.

“We have been using CINEMA 4D from the very beginning. It’s fast both in workflow and rendering. It’s also intuitive to learn and use. Its connectivity to Photoshop and After Effects is simply ingenious and makes our work so much easier”, says Jean Brauner.
